Types of Corrugated Box
Corrugated boxes can be divided into 2 main categories, according to the production and characteristics of each box. It is divided into:
1. Non-Diecut or Slotted Carton
2. Die-cut box
Slotted Carton boxes are divided into 2 other sub-categories
Regular Slotted Carton Box (RSC)
It is one of the most popular type of corrugated box used today. RSC box is a square box with 4 open-close lids on the top and bottom. When packing the products, you must fold all four lids down and use the tape to close the box.

Overlap Slotted Carton Box (OSC)
It is a rectangular box with 4 open-close lids, both top and bottom, like RSC box. However, the different is that when closing the lid, the outer lid will overlap with another. This outer lid width is the same as the box.
The advantages of this type of box: The outer box lid is made to be as wide as the width of the box. Which helps strengthen the box.
What kind of product is suitable for this type of box: Product with longer dimension than the width. Such as, picture frames or long-handled products, like mops.
Die-cut boxes can be divided into 9 types
Full Telescope Design Style Box (FTD)
The Full Telescope Container consists of a separate top and bottom that fit over each other. The two-piece box is made from two scored and slotted rectangular blanks, with minimal manufacturing waste. The full-depth cover slides completely over the body, providing extra thicknesses of the board on all side and end panels.
The advantages of this type of box: Compression strength suitable for high stacking strength of fragile articles. It is also easy to open-close.

Lock- Bottom Construction Box with Tuck Top Tab Lock (Flat Blank)
It's a square box In which the top of the box has a tab lock. While the bottom has the snap lock.

Built-in Handled Box (Lock-End )

Tab Lock & Added Handle Box
It is a corrugated cardboard box with lid, insert tab. The box is drilled with holes to insert the plastic handle. The box has the same construction as the Lock- Bottom Construction Box with Tuck Top Tab Lock, but with an additional plastic handle.

Postage Box
It's a parcel box for postal delivery widely used along with the RSC box.

Fruit Crate Box
It has the same construction as RSC box, but with additional ventilation holes to prevent the fruit to spoil prematurely.

This box is rarely seen in the form of corrugated paper. Most will use cardboard instead for small, and very light-weight product. However, the corrugated version provides an extra strength to this type of box.
